Um dos discos mais representativos da história mundical do rock e do design (com a icônica capa da banana desenha por Warhol), o disco The Velvet Underground & Nico está prestes a completar quarenta e cinco anos.
Para marcar essa data, o disco irá ganhar uma reedição especial da Universal contendo seis discos e com previsão de início das vendas para outubro. The Velvet Underground & Nico 45th Anniversary Edition nas versões mono e estéreo, LP Chelsea Girl (primeiro trabalho solo da cantora Nico), as cobiçadas gravações perdidas do Scepter Studio, produções feitas na época da Factory e a raridade Valleydale Ballroom, com material ao vivo de 1966.
